Life in Kentucky

Elder Harold's first area! Liberty Kentucky!

He looks a little lost, wouldn't ya say?

This is the church in Liberty Kentucky. Its actually an old Auto Parts Shop. Elder Harold wrote "Our church, well actually its an old auto parts shop. It doesn't even look like a church. But its where we park and walk from everyday. Its also where we eat lunch and dinner. Members willl sometimes leave food in the fridge for us, so its really nice! We usually just eat a sandwich and sit for an hour talking then go back out to work again."

Elder Harold's first companion in the field. Elder Everette from Springville Utah.

This trailor was Elder Harold's home for about 5 months. It has a sudy room, a small bathroom, a living room connected to a kitchen, another bathroom with a shower, and then a bedroom with two beds! Elder Harold's says "Its not much, but its a home! We have fun here though, singin, dancin, exercizin, studyin, and playin!"

The MTC

Elder Harold loves the MTC. In a letter home he wrote "The MTC is amazing! I would have to say I have learned more in these past 2 weeks than I have learned my whole entire life about this gospel. I sit in a classroom like 8-10 hours a day, so my backside is a little sore, but my spirit has never felt better. Thats one of the things I love about this place is that you feel the spirit 24/7. My testimony has grown so much, especially on the Restoration and the Atonement. Its amazing how much tere is to learn, and I have barely scratched the surface. The more I learn, the more I just want to get out there and share it with the world. I promised myself and the Lord that I was going to be the best missionary I could be. So that is what i am going to do. So i can look back in 2 years with no regrets, and when that does comes when I stand in his presence he will say "Well done, Welcome Home". I love this gospel! - Elder Harold- Soldier of God!

Goofing Off! What boys do best!

Elder Lusk and Elder Harold at the Provo Temple!

Johnny's District in the MTC. Johnny made a lot of friends while in the MTC. In a letter he sent he wrote "Our district is really awesome! We have got so close. We're like brothers now. Its crazy how fast you get to know someone in a week. Elder Pearson is one of my favorites. I get along with him better than anyone. He is from California and is like a long lost twin. We are so much alike, its crazy!" In this picture, from left to rigth, starting on the bottom is Elder King, Elder Lontine (DL), Elder Robison, and Elder Carlson. Top, Left: Elder Walker, Elder Dyer, Elder Pearson, Elder Lusk, Elder Beakstrand, and Elder Harold!
